After crude oil, lithium, and uranium, Rajasthan has now become a hotspot for gold mine discoveries, with over two dozen gold reserves found during ongoing exploration.

Bihar has the highest number of gold reserves with 44 sites, and Rajasthan comes second with 25 locations. Across the country, gold reserves are estimated to be around 654 metric tons, out of which about 235 metric tons are estimated to be in Rajasthan.
Soon, the Rajasthan government is going to auction the first gold mine in the state. Gold reserves have been found in Udaipur, Banswara, Dausa, and Dungarpur, and mining is likely to begin first in Banswara district.
